About us

Company history

  • 2004 CFA created by a husband and wife team trading laptops and parts from a spare room in our house

  • 2006 First warehouse acquired

  • 2008 Company focus was changed to recycling and parts business. For several years we became Dell recyclers, taking customer returns and repairing unwanted Dell stock. This meant more expansion, more staff and moving to larger premises. During this time we established our own brand of third party batteries and AC adaptors, made in Chine but tested to UK standards.

  • 2012 Ten staff employed, including engineers. The company repaired component level boards for large recyclers and supplied them with parts. We also purchased new premises, warehouses and offices and installed a solar panel system onto the new building.

  • 2013 CFA became a Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher (MAR) and began refurbishing laptops, PCs and other devices.

  • 2014 The company won MAR Rookie of the Year Worldwide due to the volume of sales. Continuing development included purchasing a printer for reprinting keyboards, installation of a biomass boiler to provide heat and building a spray shop to

    • Planned warehouse expansion;

    • Investing in a new printer that will have 12.5 times greater capacity than current printers;

    • Redesigning the engineering process to handle increased volumes with improved efficiency.
